Printing Recommendation

General Printing Tips for All AF Apparels Garments

At AF Apparels, we prioritize quality and durability in every blank garment. Please follow these general printing recommendations to ensure the best results for your print jobs. Always consult your ink and supply vendors for specific guidance regarding your printing process.

Important Notes:

• Always print a sample before running large jobs to verify color accuracy and print quality.
• AF Apparels is not responsible for the outcome of print jobs based on the following recommendations.

Printing on 100% Cotton and Cotton-Faced Garments

  • Best for DTG Printing (Direct to Garment): All 100% cotton and cotton-faced blends from AF Apparels are ideal for DTG printing.
    • Pretreatment is required before DTG printing to ensure proper adhesion and vibrancy.
    • Run a sample to confirm print accuracy and color vibrancy before full production.

Plastisol and Water-Based Inks

  • Both Plastisol and Water-Based Inks perform well across our blank garments.
  • Ink performance depends on:
    • The design complexity.
    • Garment color and fabric composition.

Discharge Printing

  • Discharge printing works best on our 100% cotton garments.
  • Blended fabrics (poly/cotton) will affect discharge results, potentially altering the final print color and appearance.
Camo and Allover Print Garments
  • When printing on camo or allover print garments, a blocker must be used to prevent print contamination.
  • This prevents any dye or pattern bleed-through during the printing process.

Overdyeing and Special Processing

  • AF Apparels garments are not prepared for dyeing (PFD).
  • If you choose to overdye our products, always run a test sample to check for inconsistencies or unexpected color results before proceeding with full production.

Post-Printing Best Practices

  • Avoid stacking hot garments directly after printing.
  • Allow garments to fully cool to prevent smudging, sticking, or warping of the print.
